Costello Real Estate was founded in 2014 when John and Natalie Costello set out to build a different kind of company. Their belief was simple: The greatest impact comes from developing people into who God created them to be, and when collaboration replaces competition, everyone wins.
They hired their first agent, Ruvell Martin, at their kitchen table. Years later, after a coaching stint with the Green Bay Packers, Ruvell returned and now serves as CEO. In 2017, he partnered with Jonathan Bunn, now President, to launch the first expansion market in Raleigh, North Carolina.
What started as a small team quickly grew into one of the most recognized independent real estate firms in the Carolinas. The company became known for strong agent performance, meaningful community involvement, and a culture centered around its defining value, Winning Together.
As the company expanded, so did its commitment to building the right leadership around its agents. In recent years, Costello has intentionally strengthened its foundation with a team focused on growth, support, and operational excellence.
That leadership includes Casey Parke, Director of Growth Marketing & Systems, who drives marketing strategy and scalable systems for agents across the Carolinas; Karen Minter, Director of Agent Success and Training, who leads coaching, mentorship, and agent development; Michelle Martin, Director of Agent Accounting & Payouts, who ensures clarity and consistency behind every transaction; and Matt Ivey, Triangle Broker-in-Charge and Office Leader, who provides regional leadership and oversight.
Together, this leadership reinforces what Costello has believed since the beginning: growth happens best when agents are supported from every angle.
Today, Costello Real Estate continues to expand across North and South Carolina with the same steady conviction it began with: businesses grow best when people do.
